Asking the Right Questions

Magnus Holst, CEO of River Security, comments:

“Knut challenges us in the right ways: the assumptions behind our plans, the numbers we look at, and how we define success. Above all, he pushes us to focus on the KPIs that actually drive the business at our stage.

We’ve built River Security independently, on our own terms. Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important across industries, and AI is creating both new opportunities and threats. That puts us in a very interesting position. Having Knut as Chairman gives me great confidence in the decisions ahead.”

Norwegian Technology with International Ambitions

River Security is an independently owned Norwegian cybersecurity company. It combines technical expertise with a proactive approach, helping businesses understand their exposure and address vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Its independence allows it to take a long-term view while expanding internationally.

Knut Martin Hauge comments:

“River Security has built something impressive: a strong technical team with a clear understanding of the problems they solve. I’m passionate about helping Norwegian technology companies succeed internationally. We have great people and great technology here, and I want to see more of it reach customers across Europe and beyond.

Being involved in River Security is also a valuable learning experience for me, and I appreciate the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with the team.

I’m looking forward to working more closely with Magnus and the team.”

The ambition remains clear: to build a successful, independent Norwegian cybersecurity company with a strong presence beyond its home market.
